Ariel Jakue blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angel Venceslas having to make a save. When Guido Olo came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Olo couldn't finish the play. Angel Venceslas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Olo in the 16th minute of play. Ariel Jakue could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Angel Venceslas made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Olo in the 22nd minute of play forced Aris Futbol Club's goalkeeper Angel Venceslas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Blas Poncio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Racing Club's Ariel Jakue in 29 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Angel Venceslas guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Guido Olo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Christian Tipi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aris Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Tipi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Henry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club's goalkeeper Cornelio Henry, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Vicente Mouricio fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aris Futbol Club's protests and gave Vicente Mouricio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Aris Futbol Club's Vicente Mouricio got a free kick in the 41st minute. 45 minutes into the game, Racing Club's Ariel Jakue nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angel Venceslas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guido Olo to strike the kick off in the second half. Christian Tipi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Henry having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Guido Olo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Aris Futbol Club's Angel Venceslas. Angel Venceslas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
