El Trueno Verde's Astor Aragones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Indalecio in the 5th minute of play. Manuel Erlantz hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Adrian Ixona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paolo Cordarin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Pablo Rodas hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, El Trueno Verde's Benjamin Todor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paolo Cordarin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, Benjamin Todor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Paolo Cordarin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alvaro Pirmin hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Generoso Buinton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute Alfonso Indalecio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Aragones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute of the match El Trueno Verde got a corner. Defensores del Acha's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maximiliano Primeiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on El Trueno Verde's corner Maximiliano Primeiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paolo Cordarin quite easily take care of the ball. Paolo Cordarin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Generoso Buinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 39 minutes, Generoso Buinton made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Defensores del Acha's Paolo Cordarin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfonso Indalecio scored 1-3 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Astor Aragones, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfonso Indalecio to make the kick off. Paolo Cordarin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Generoso Buinton in the 60th minute. Astor Aragones took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Indalecio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Alfonso Indalecio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Aragones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astor Aragones didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Erlantz went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Anier Marcones might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Astor Aragones. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anier Marcones ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. El Trueno Verde had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
