The wind increased when Rigoberto Egun made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Dego F.C.'s zone, Fabio Efraim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualterio Goi came out of the goal and Fabio Efraim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grupo Universitario's Nestor Vela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Grupo Universitario from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute Gabriel Dino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Vela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Inocencio Oton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nestor Vela, 1-1. Gualterio Goi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigoberto Egun in the 86th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Dino got free with Nestor Vela in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Inocencio Oton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Dino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Vela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
