When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Romeo Francesco took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Carlos Avellaneda to make any attempt to save it. After 10 played minutes, Old Borrachians's Fabricio Hever shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivan Ermano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Old Borrachians reached it. Carlos Avellaneda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Eron in the 13th minute. Old Borrachians's Carlos Avellaneda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Old Borrachians from getting a goal against them. Old Borrachians's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cipriano Blai 15 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. 18 minutes into the game, Omar Erroman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Avellaneda. Omar Erroman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Hermengildo Perpinya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ivan Ermano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of catamate booed when Old Borrachians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Jurdan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Avellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Blai, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Romeo Francescos short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Carlos Avellaneda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fulgencio Eron kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Hermengildo Perpinya's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Ermano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Old Borrachians's goalkeeper Carlos Avellaneda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Francesco. In the 35th minute Cipriano Blai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Avellaneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Avellaneda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Eron in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Old Borrachians's goalkeeper Carlos Avellaneda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Francesco. Old Borrachians's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Cipriano Blai scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Avellaneda, making the score, 5-0. 43 minutes into the game, catamate's Cipriano Blai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Avellaneda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After having played for 47 minutes, Hermengildo Perpinya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Old Borrachians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermengildo Perpinya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Blai to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Erroman in the 52nd minute of play forced Old Borrachians's goalkeeper Carlos Avellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 minutes of play, catamate's Guido Iigo made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Avellaneda was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Old Borrachians booed when catamate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Erroman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Avellaneda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Erroman in the 67th minute of the match. Jairo Jurdan hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Francesco in the 69th minute of play forced Old Borrachians's goalkeeper Carlos Avellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by catamate's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cirilo Quilino was slow to take the kick. During this time Old Borrachians's players had a chance to rest. Old Borrachians's Cirilo Quilino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ivan Ermano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Carlos Avellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Erroman, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 96th minute, Rigoberto Rafel had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Jairo Jurdan's late challenge caught a catamate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairo Jurdan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute, Jairo Jurdan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Old Borrachians players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for catamate.
