Leonides Cordera came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by catamate's Cipriano Blai. But to his dismay, Cipriano Blai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 32nd minute, Primitivo Lorenz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cipriano Blai succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 35th playminute. Gualterio Sidro struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Leonides Cordera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for catamate. Cipriano Blai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Leonides Cordera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serafin Isias was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Leonides Cordera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Blai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cipriano Blai came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the catamate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Blai couldn't finish the play. In the 59th match minute, Boca juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Orlo to maneuver through the defense. In the 70thth minute of the game Primitivo Lorenz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but catamate's Ivan Ermano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gualterio Sidro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonides Cordera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play.
