The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Saul Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastian Vermudo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeronimo Nel went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Zapallar AFC's Osvaldo Silbestre got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute Saul Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Fagondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jeronimo Nel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastian Vermudo was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Jeronimo Nel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Zapallar AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgardo Fagondo should have stopped the shot. Tiburcio Checa's late challenge caught a Remecó 's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiburcio Checa helped the player get up and apologised. Tiburcio Checa kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Rolando Cordaryal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Zapallar AFC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Arnaldo Celino hit a great ball. Saul Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Edgardo Fagondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Remecó 's Rolando Cordaryal in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee gave Tiburcio Checa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 53 played minutes Zapallar AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Checa. In the 54th minute, Saul Duarte reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgardo Fagondo. The goal made the score 1-2. Saul Duarte struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Edgardo Fagondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Remecó . Rolando Cordaryal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Edgardo Fagondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Duarte in the 62nd minute of play forced Zapallar AFC's goalkeeper Edgardo Fagondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Vermudo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zapallar AFC. Edgardo Fagondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Silbestre got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 79 minutes into the game, Saul Duarte lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Edgardo Fagondo. Zapallar AFC's Edgardo Fagondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Zapallar AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Zapallar AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rolando Cordaryal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 88th minute, Saul Duarte reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgardo Fagondo. The goal made the score 1-4. Rolando Cordaryal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Fagondo having to interfere. Saul Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remecó played a much better game than Zapallar AFC and deserved their victory. The Zapallar AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
