Maximino Iratzeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 5 minutes, Gerardo Leoiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guernica AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Leoiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximino Iratzeder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Leoiar in the 8th minute of the match. Gerardo Leoiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Iratzeder having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Cortines's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Goito came free, but Maximino Iratzeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucio Columbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Martin Caitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Feliberto Goito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guernica AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliberto Goito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Iratzeder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Cortines's zone, Gerardo Leoiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximino Iratzeder came out of the goal and Gerardo Leoiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximino Iratzeder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Leoiar in the 32nd minute of the match. Martin Caitano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Guillerme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliberto Goito made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Cortines's goalkeeper Maximino Iratzeder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerardo Leoiar. 68 minutes into the match, Guernica AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Eudoxio came free, but Martin Caitano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guernica AFC's goalkeeper Martin Caitano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lucio Columbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafin Guillerme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucio Columbo struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Martin Caitano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cortines. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliberto Goito in the 90th minute of play forced Cortines's goalkeeper Maximino Iratzeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Feliberto Goito came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Guernica AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliberto Goito couldn't finish the play.
