After 11 played minutes La Maquinita got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Haritz. In the 14th minute Rolando Olivar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Gomez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delmar Domenec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Nereo Gomez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Ambargasta's Rolando Olivar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nereo Gomez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the La Maquinita defense, Delmar Domenec kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nereo Gomez. The La Maquinita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nereo Gomez should have stopped the shot. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when La Maquinita's Samuel Abalos in the 28th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rodrigo Lizbeth was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Ambargasta through an amazing save. In the 31st match minute, Ambargasta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Berriotxoa to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Rolando Olivar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ambargasta's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Olivar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nereo Gomez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serafino Haritz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Rodrigo Lizbeth 37 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Ambargasta's Rodrigo Lizbeth got control of the ball when Serafino Haritz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, La Maquinita's Gaspar Mendiko broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. La Maquinita's Nereo Gomez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save La Maquinita from getting a goal against them. Rolando Olivar was extremely unlucky when he, in the 61st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Serafino Haritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Rodrigo Lizbeth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Lizbeth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Urdin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serafino Haritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Lizbeth having to interfere. Delmar Domenec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nereo Gomez didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 88th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Serafino Haritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Lizbeth having to interfere. The Ambargasta supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ambargasta would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
