In the 26th match minute, Gavilandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Ladio to maneuver through the defense. Niupi were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Gavilandia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jonas Gau took the corner. The corner ended in Jonas Gau almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gavilandia's Eleuterio Alonso did a great save. Primitivo Frutos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Javiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Alonso having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Teodosio Sabino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gavilandia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Niupi the free kick. A collision led to Gavilandia getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Teodosio Sabino hit a great ball. Jonas Gau, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Baltasar Haritz scored 0-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Gurutz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 44 minutes, Baltasar Haritz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gavilandia and the Niupi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Gavilandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltasar Haritz to maneuver through the defense. Filiberto Nesor kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Primitivo Frutos to strike the kick off in the second half. If Teodosio Sabino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Gavilandia fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Gavilandia's Filiberto Nesor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Gavilandia getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Pablo Urti hit a great ball. Primitivo Frutos scored 1-3 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eleuterio Alonso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Primitivo Frutos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eleuterio Alonso having to make a save. After 71 minutes of play Gavilandia's Teodosio Sabino was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Gavilandia getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Teodosio Sabino hit a great ball. Jonatan Donio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Baltasar Haritz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. When Lino Javiar came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Niupi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino Javiar couldn't finish the play. Gavilandia's Eleuterio Alonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Frutos in the 91st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Primitivo Frutos in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eleuterio Alonso prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
