Adolfo Maureo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Mogel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Maureo in the 8th minute of play. Santo Eguen kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Boulogne's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adolfo Maureo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 15 minutes into the match, Boulogne's goalkeeper Lino Mogel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernan Medardo. Ambrosio Nardo's late challenge caught a IX Brigada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ambrosio Nardo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Boulogne's Ambrosio Nardo got a free kick in the 16th minute. Fernan Medardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Lino Mogel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Braulio Betadur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boulogne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braulio Betadur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Adolfo Maureo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulgencio Behe might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bonifacio Argina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fulgencio Behe ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Fulgencio Behe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bonifacio Argina was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. IX Brigada's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Fernan Medardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lino Mogel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernan Medardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Adolfo Maureo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 46 minutes into the match, IX Brigada's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Betadur came free, but Bonifacio Argina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Fulgencio Behe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Argina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fulgencio Behe to make the kick off. IX Brigada's Bonifacio Argina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save IX Brigada from getting a goal against them. The IX Brigada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Maureo in the 80th minute of play forced Boulogne's goalkeeper Lino Mogel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Misael in the 91st minute of play forced IX Brigada's goalkeeper Bonifacio Argina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bonifacio Argina came out of the goal and Braulio Betadur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. IX Brigada had won after a very even match.
