Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Atilano Jobo in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomas Tonete prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the game, Elvio Raitin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capilla del Monte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esperanza the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Capilla del Monte's zone, Atilano Jobo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Tonete came out of the goal and Atilano Jobo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atilano Asier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Francesco having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Esperanza got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Sanson. Isaac Sanson hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Esperanza's Baldomero Nataniel got a free kick in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Atilano Jobo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esperanza's supporters rose to their feet, but Atilano Jobo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Tonete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Tonete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Rey in the 38th minute of play. Astor Rey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Tonete took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Jobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Baldomero Nataniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Astor Rey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Astor Rey was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Atilano Jobo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomas Tonete was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 62nd match minute, Capilla del Monte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Osasun to maneuver through the defense. Atilano Jobo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. Esperanza's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. During the 67th minute of the match Elvio Raitin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Elvio Raitin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Capilla del Monte's Elvio Raitin got a free kick in the 67th minute. After some careless play in the Capilla del Monte defense, Atilano Jobo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Tonete. The Capilla del Monte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Tonete should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute Astor Rey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Tonete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filiberto Gai hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atilano Jobo got free with Tomas Tonete in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atilano Jobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Tonete having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Capilla del Monte's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Rey came free, but Tomas Tonete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Rey in the 93rd minute of play forced Capilla del Monte's goalkeeper Tomas Tonete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Esperanza walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
