Prospero Ezkerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Cornelio Millrick made a huge save. Cornelio Millrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Piearres in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Piearres in the 28th minute of play forced Club A. Independiente's goalkeeper Cornelio Millrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeo Sazon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Club A. Independiente's Cornelio Millrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Piearres in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Gavino Lucila could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Romeo Sazon however easily saved by the left post. 58 minutes into the match, ZORZAL's goalkeeper Romeo Sazon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavino Lucila. A collision led to ZORZAL getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Marcial Lluterio hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the game, Niceto Millan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Romeo Sazon. Niceto Millan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. When Clodoveo Lia fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club A. Independiente's protests and gave Clodoveo Lia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ZORZAL booed when Club A. Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Lia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prospero Ezkerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute.
