Spectators: 6431 (Terracing: 5411, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 20) Siro Arias started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Siro Arias charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Siro Arias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Santiagueños F.C getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Siro Arias hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Atlético Estudiantes's Placido Fagondo got a free kick in the 4th minute. Atlético Estudiantes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Octavio Monte scored to the left of an out of position Artemio Stephen, making the score, 1-0. Nicolas Serafo kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. When Siro Arias came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Santiagueños F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Arias couldn't finish the play. Arsenio Maldonado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramon Celio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute of the match Adan Ermano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaspar Montae skillfully saved the ball. Octavio Monte had several of the Atlético Estudiantes's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Artemio Stephen as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 38th minute Siro Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavio Monte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Stephen having to interfere. Santiagueños F.C's Siro Arias was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 41st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 44th minute, Adan Ermano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 played minutes Santiagueños F.C got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Goren. In the 48th minute, Arsenio Maldonado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arsenio Maldonado made a kick off. Octavio Monte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Serafo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gaspar Montae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon Celio struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Gaspar Montae didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Estudiantes. In the 68th minute, Agustin Tartalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st match minute, Santiagueños F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Uhin to maneuver through the defense. When the match had been going on for 83 minutes, Atlético Estudiantes's Adan Ermano got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gaspar Montae. Siro Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Artemio Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artemio Stephen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siro Arias in the 90th minute of play. Artemio Stephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Arias in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th of the match, Arsenio Maldonado tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Gaspar Montae got in the way and made a wonderful save. Atlético Estudiantes's Ramon Celio got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artemio Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Arias, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Santiagueños F.C had won after a very even match.
