La Cicloneta's Filiberto Tome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Ipar in the 18th minute of play. La Cicloneta's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ildefonso Ipar 20 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 23 minutes into the game, Vicente Salbatore was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Urusmayo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Cicloneta the free kick. After 24 played minutes Urusmayo got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Salbatore. Felix Llin's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Silvestre Obeko on his right side and into the goal. 25 minutes into the game it was 1-1. Ildefonso Ipar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filiberto Tome read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Cicloneta's Francisco Berbiz got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Urusmayo's David Oskitz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 35 minutes into the match, La Cicloneta's goalkeeper Filiberto Tome had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector Celio. In the 44th minute, Victorio Ticho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute Isidoro Matxin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Obeko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ildefonso Ipar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Ildefonso Ipar made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in La Cicloneta's zone, Ildefonso Ipar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Tome came out of the goal and Ildefonso Ipar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidoro Matxin took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvestre Obeko. Silvestre Obeko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Filiberto Tome showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Celio in the 58th minute of the match. Ildefonso Ipar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Filiberto Tome tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, La Cicloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Celio came free, but Filiberto Tome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filiberto Tome came out of the goal and Hector Celio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ildefonso Ipar came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Urusmayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Ipar couldn't finish the play. If Ildefonso Ipar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes La Cicloneta got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Berbiz. Ildefonso Ipar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Tome having to interfere. Victorio Ticho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Tome having to interfere. Francisco Berbiz charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Berbiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes La Cicloneta got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Berbiz. Urusmayo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Oskitz in the 84th minute. Urusmayo's David Oskitz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Filiberto Tome in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Ipar in the 87th minute of play forced La Cicloneta's goalkeeper Filiberto Tome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Celio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. The supporters of La Cicloneta booed when Urusmayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Ipar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hector Celio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Tome having to interfere.
