Higinio Iban was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th minute Melchor Garoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Laffitte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fidel Hats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Iban having to interfere. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cienaguita! The goalkeeper, Higinio Iban, was totally fooled by Fundido a Negro's Vladimiro Urtats, who 31 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 39 minutes, Fidel Hats managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fundido a Negro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidel Hats was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fidel Hats got free with Higinio Iban in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Fundido a Negro's Jairo Gentza got a free kick in the 45th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Bonifacio Cordarin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cienaguita's supporters rose to their feet, but Bonifacio Cordarin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Laffitte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melchor Garoa to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fundido a Negro's goalkeeper Constantino Laffitte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fundido a Negro's Constantino Laffitte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Fundido a Negro from getting a goal against them. Higinio Iban didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fundido a Negro's Fidel Hats shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Fundido a Negro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cienaguita the free kick. The supporters of Cienaguita booed when Fundido a Negro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Dodorol didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Fundido a Negro's Constantino Laffitte got control of the ball when Bonifacio Cordarin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cienaguita's zone, Efrain Gilen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Iban came out of the goal and Efrain Gilen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Constantino Laffitte acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Santo Rafe. Bonifacio Cordarin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Constantino Laffitte made a huge save. Eustaquio Endura was shown his second yellow card after 86 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Cienaguita getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Eustaquio Endura hit a great ball. Higinio Iban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Hats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fundido a Negro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
