The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Defensores de CHEVROLET was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardino Nayely to maneuver through the defense. Pedro FC's Silvestre Mero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Rius in the 4th minute of play. Inocencio Ritchie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guaberto Iruinea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Orti in the 13th minute of play. Antonio Orti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Iruinea having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Defensores de CHEVROLET's Vladimiro Rius got a free kick in the 18th minute. If Remigio Hitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio Orti in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guaberto Iruinea saved Defensores de CHEVROLET from getting behind. If Antonio Orti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro FC's Silvestre Mero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Pedro FC from getting a goal against them. Luis Bartolome's late challenge caught a Defensores de CHEVROLET's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Bartolome helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Defensores de CHEVROLET booed when Pedro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Bartolome didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Vladimiro Rius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvestre Mero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Rius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Vladimiro Rius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Silvestre Mero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Gerardo Felipo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Guaberto Iruinea made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Antonio Orti sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Pedro FC defense, Remigio Hitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvestre Mero. The Pedro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvestre Mero should have stopped the shot. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pedro FC's goalkeeper Silvestre Mero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Luis Bartolome was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. Luis Bartolome hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Remigio Hitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Remigio Hitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Silvestre Mero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Orti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Iruinea having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Rius in the 80th minute of play forced Pedro FC's goalkeeper Silvestre Mero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Defensores de CHEVROLET fully deserved thier win.
