C A Talleres CBA's Jimeno Lesardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigio Fresco in the 38th minute of play. After 47 played minutes Palavicini got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Erasto. After recieving a nice pass, C A Talleres CBA's Epifanio Lano tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After the first half C A Talleres CBA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Remigio Fresco came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Palavicini fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remigio Fresco couldn't finish the play. Epifanio Lano walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 65th minute Gavino Tavio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Lesardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Palavicini's Gervasio Toli got control of the ball when Ernesto Bikendi tried to sneak it across the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C A Talleres CBA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
