When Sergio Abaurre fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarandí FC's protests and gave Sergio Abaurre a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Sergio Abaurre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Urbano Cristos came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Sarandí FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urbano Cristos couldn't finish the play. Urbano Cristos in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edgard Nalo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Iwan Zabrzeski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Dominguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Florida AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Urbano Cristos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Florida AFC's zone, Sergio Abaurre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Nalo came out of the goal and Sergio Abaurre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute, Urbano Cristos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sarandí FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Sergio Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urbano Cristos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Edgard Nalo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Sarandí FC's Aquiles Aballe got a free kick in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sergio Abaurre to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Ezkerra during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Sarandí FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Ezkerra. Edgard Nalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Abaurre in the 66th minute of play. Florida AFC's Edgard Nalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Ezkerra in the 76th minute of play. When Gilberto Oinaz fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Florida AFC's protests and gave Gilberto Oinaz a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Florida AFC! Martin Paul could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Iwan Zabrzeski made a huge save. In the 89th minute, Ambrosio Dominguez fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Urbano Cristos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Nalo having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play Sarandí FC's Alvaro Ezkerra was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Florida AFC booed when Sarandí FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Ezkerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iwan Zabrzeski made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Martin Paul sent off a good shot on target. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sarandí FC fully deserved thier win.
