The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Florida AFC. Gilberto Oinaz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leon Ascencio. 1-0. Leon Ascencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrosio Dominguez in the 33rd minute of the match. If Ambrosio Dominguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Natalio Onbera came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Los Picapiedras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natalio Onbera couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ambrosio Dominguez made a kick off. Natalio Onbera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Nalo having to interfere. If Fernando Rainerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Enrique Sugar had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. In the 57th minute, Silverio Abechuco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Los Picapiedras's zone, Ambrosio Dominguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Ascencio came out of the goal and Ambrosio Dominguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Martin Paul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Ambrosio Dominguez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Florida AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Jacobo Gutierrez hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Florida AFC's Edgard Nalo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Florida AFC from getting a goal against them. Martin Paul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Leon Ascencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Florida AFC had won after a very even match.
