Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marcial Rayman took the kick off in the first half of the match. Boquerón's Jaime Froylan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Suero in the 3rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcial Suero in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Froylan saved Boquerón from getting behind. Marcial Suero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boquerón's Ambrosio Colon got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Caraguatay FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Marcial Suero hit a great ball. Marcial Suero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jaime Froylan having to make a save. Marcial Suero struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Jaime Froylan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caraguatay FC. Rodolfo Hanni charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Hanni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Marcial Rayman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teobaldo Regis was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcial Suero in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Froylan saved Boquerón from getting behind. Diego Abar took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaime Froylan. Jaime Froylan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Marcial Rayman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Regis having to interfere. Diego Abar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Froylan having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcial Suero to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ceferino Isusko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Diego Abar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caraguatay FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 58 minutes into the match, Caraguatay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ambrosio Colon came free, but Teobaldo Regis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcial Suero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Froylan having to interfere. Diego Abar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jaime Froylan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boquerón's goalkeeper Jaime Froylan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st minute of the match Miguel Urdin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaime Froylan skillfully saved the ball. The Boquerón fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Caraguatay FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
