That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. After 12 played minutes Boquerón got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Rubio. If Filiberto Locaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jaime Froylan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Locaio in the 18th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bartolito FC's zone, Marcial Rayman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benigno Ederono came out of the goal and Marcial Rayman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Froylan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Locaio in the 22nd minute of play. Filiberto Locaio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Froylan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Claudio Fernado hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Benigno Ederono made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Rayman in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Filiberto Locaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ambrosio Colon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th match minute, Bartolito FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Felo to maneuver through the defense. When Marcial Rayman came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Boquerón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Rayman couldn't finish the play. After 38 played minutes Bartolito FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Phelipe. In the 39thth minute of the game Marcial Rayman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bartolito FC's Benigno Ederono was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Maximo Phelipe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute Filiberto Locaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Froylan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filiberto Locaio was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Boquerón's Anselmo Urbez got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Aquiles Rumaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jaime Froylan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Froylan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filiberto Locaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Froylan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aquiles Rumaldo went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Filiberto Locaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Bartolito FC's Filiberto Locaio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaime Froylan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aquiles Rumaldo scored 3-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Froylan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 81 minutes into the match, Boquerón's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Locaio came free, but Jaime Froylan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Marcial Rayman came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Boquerón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Rayman couldn't finish the play. If Marcial Rayman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Boquerón booed when Bartolito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Maiorga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bartolito FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Boquerón had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
