The audience was convinced that Fabricio Pacorro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felix Baladi was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 10th minute, Ismael Ascencio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hooligans fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. CA Defensores Nacionales's Jacinto Urre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Orlondo in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Fabricio Pacorro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaston Rosalio in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Baladi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Fabricio Pacorro came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the CA Defensores Nacionales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Pacorro couldn't finish the play. Filiberto Papo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Isaias Herensuge came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the CA Defensores Nacionales fans jumped to their feet. With his leg Felix Baladi managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when CA Defensores Nacionales's Gaston Rosalio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 46th minute, Gaston Rosalio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 48 minutes of play, CA Defensores Nacionales's Gaston Rosalio made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felix Baladi was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Fabricio Pacorro made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaston Rosalio in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Felix Baladi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Herensuge, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Fabricio Pacorro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gaston Rosalio came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the CA Defensores Nacionales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Rosalio couldn't finish the play. Isaias Herensuge might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felix Baladi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaias Herensuge ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Ismael Ascencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hooligans's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Ascencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Urre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benicio Barto kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, CA Defensores Nacionales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiberto Papo to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Jacinto Urre successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fabricio Pacorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Baladi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hooligans's zone, Fabricio Pacorro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Baladi came out of the goal and Fabricio Pacorro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The CA Defensores Nacionales manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Hooligans to win.
