Caraguatay FC's Edelmiro Ur suffered a sore foot after 19 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bonifacio Rozarius during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, CA Defensores Nacionales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Rozarius to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Benicio Barto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, CA Defensores Nacionales's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Savier came free, but Jacinto Urre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Caraguatay FC's Horacio Savier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 52nd match minute, Caraguatay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Savier to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Herensuge in the 61st minute of play forced Caraguatay FC's goalkeeper Teobaldo Regis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, CA Defensores Nacionales's Benicio Barto got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute of the match Miguel Urdin shot from a long distance. Gogo Urtsins short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Jacinto Urre to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jacinto Urre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Abar, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 75th match minute, Caraguatay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Abar to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Savier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Jacinto Urre skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fabricio Pacorro struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Teobaldo Regis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The referee showed Marcial Suero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CA Defensores Nacionales booed when Caraguatay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Suero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 minutes, Filiberto Papo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CA Defensores Nacionales and the Caraguatay FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, CA Defensores Nacionales's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Diego Abar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teobaldo Regis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
