After 19 played minutes Florida got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Jerico. Desiderio Laffitte struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Clemente Eder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tócota. When Conrado Maore fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Florida's protests and gave Conrado Maore a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, one of Florida:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Florida. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Tócota. Jimeno Jax stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Clemente Eder. 0-1. Godfredo Gartzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Eder having to interfere. Desiderio Laffitte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
