After 9 played minutes Florida got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Jerico. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Raul Mede sped through Boquerón's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jaime Froylan. Clemente Eder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Rayman in the 18th minute of the match. Marcial Rayman struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Clemente Eder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boquerón. After 28 minutes, Ceferino Isusko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boquerón and the Florida players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ceferino Isusko kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Florida's Conrado Maore shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jaime Froylan but with some difficulty. If Marcial Rayman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcial Rayman struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Clemente Eder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boquerón. Clemente Eder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcial Rayman's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcial Rayman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Clemente Eder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Rayman, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Jaime Froylan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Mede, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Federico Bide came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Florida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Bide couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcial Rayman in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Eder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ambrosio Colon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Clemente Eder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Ambrosio Colon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boquerón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambrosio Colon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ambrosio Colon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Clemente Eder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Florida getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Isidoro Jerico hit a great ball. Ambrosio Colon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marcial Rayman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boquerón's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
