Spectators: 7214 (Terracing: 5445, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Santiago Lauro took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Santiago Lauro came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Ateneo Estrada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Lauro couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ateneo Estrada getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Filomeno Columbo hit a great ball. If Serafin Gumaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulino Txerran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Belmiro having to interfere. After 19 minutes Ateneo Estrada's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Serafin Gumaro who took care of the corner kick. The Palmitas fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Palmitas's Paulino Txerran looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Paulino Txerran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Belmiro having to interfere. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ateneo Estrada's goalkeeper Benjamin Belmiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Paulino Txerran made a precise shot to the right of Benjamin Belmiro. Ateneo Estrada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Modesto Laurgain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Benjamin Belmiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ateneo Estrada's Benjamin Belmiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Txerran in the 34th minute of play. Eriberto Piorno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Palmitas's Serafin Gumaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benjamin Belmiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Eriberto Piorno charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eriberto Piorno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Eriberto Piorno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pastor Koldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saul Abecia during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benjamin Belmiro made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Serafin Gumaro sent off a good shot on target. After 64 played minutes Ateneo Estrada got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Columbo. Santos Marz kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Gabriel Procopio charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Palmitas's Serafin Gumaro got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Ateneo Estrada's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Txerran came free, but Benjamin Belmiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 0-8 became the score in the 90th minute when Paulino Txerran elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Paulino Txerran came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Palmitas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Txerran couldn't finish the play. Paulino Txerran struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Benjamin Belmiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmitas. Ateneo Estrada's Benjamin Belmiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 100th minute of the match, managed to save Ateneo Estrada from getting a goal against them. Palmitas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
