After recieving a nice pass, Diablos Rojos's Aristides Asier tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute Maximo Frutos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Belmiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximo Frutos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Benjamin Belmiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clodoveo Quentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Diablos Rojos's Clodoveo Quentin in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Diablos Rojos's Manuel Veronica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Lauro in the 43rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Pastor Koldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ateneo Estrada's supporters rose to their feet, but Pastor Koldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Veronica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clodoveo Quentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Ateneo Estrada fans cheered their team off the field, for while Diablos Rojos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
