Romeo Cebo kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Rodolfo Etxepare received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Virgilio Galeno came out and tried to block the shot, but Rodolfo Etxepare slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. In the 18th match minute, Rosario Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Bakar to maneuver through the defense. Ermegildo Dubardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Mel having to interfere. Reynaldo Ponc hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Pastor Socorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Galeno having to interfere. After 75 minutes, Sixto Bakar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosario Central and the Los churros players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rosario Central getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. The Los churros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los churros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
