The supporters of Spartak de Moscú booed when Luján FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Martxelin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th match minute, Luján FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavino Danel to maneuver through the defense. Marcelino Chago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Barrionuevo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Marcelino Chago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Spartak de Moscú's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Danel came free, but Felipe Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 minutes of play, Spartak de Moscú's Fabio Barrionuevo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelino Chago was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paolo Artizar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Luján FC's goalkeeper Marcelino Chago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Barrionuevo. 59 minutes into the match, Spartak de Moscú's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Danel came free, but Felipe Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Danel in the 74th minute of play forced Spartak de Moscú's goalkeeper Felipe Orlondon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Modesto Transito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Felipe Orlondon. Spartak de Moscú's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Vinicio Barto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vinicio Barto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Orlondon having to interfere. Gavino Danel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felipe Orlondon having to make a save. Luján FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
