Santos FC's Adrian Sayvion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Osorio in the 29th minute of play. Osvaldo Mederi hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Adrian Sayvion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prospero Dimas went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Pedro Mazuste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Santos FC's zone, Adan Osorio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Sayvion came out of the goal and Adan Osorio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gervasio Lixandro kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Ciudadela F.C.'s Genaro Erdiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Frans in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The corner led Santos FC's Daniel Dunixi to fire away a dangerous shot which Genaro Erdiano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 60th minute, Marcelino Frans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adrian Sayvion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Dimas in the 61st minute of the match. If Mateo Koldobika had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the game, Mateo Koldobika cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Genaro Erdiano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adrian Sayvion didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 77th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. The supporters of Santos FC booed when Ciudadela F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Goren didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marcelino Frans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genaro Erdiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Frans, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
