Spectators: 6300 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 100) Leonardo Sugoi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a little luck, Atletico Tongante's Rogelio Nayely got control of the ball when Carlos Ibar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Inocencio Lander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Rogelio Nayely tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salvador Jacindo during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atletico Tongante! The referee gave Newells a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carlos Ibar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atletico Tongante's Rogelio Nayely. 1-0. Florentino Balesio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Hodei in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Atletico Tongante's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Sugoi came free, but Rogelio Nayely reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Carlos Ibar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ariel Cefero kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Leonardo Sugoi in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rogelio Nayely, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Leonardo Sugoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Nayely having to interfere. Leonardo Sugoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Atletico Tongante getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Dionisio Lauren hit a great ball. Leonardo Sugoi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Rogelio Nayely skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Amador Lluciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Nayely having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardino Hodei was the one to do the kick off. Benito Muno hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 61 minutes, Amador Lluciano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newells and the Atletico Tongante players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Newells was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Lluciano to maneuver through the defense. Florentino Balesio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Hodei in the 63rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Bruno Procopio could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Florentino Balesio however easily saved by the left post. In the 70th minute, Leonardo Sugoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newells fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 75 minutes into the game, Bruno Procopio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Florentino Balesio. Bruno Procopio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 78th minute, Leonardo Sugoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogelio Nayely was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Florentino Balesio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Hodei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florentino Balesio made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Benito Muno sent off a good shot on target. Rogelio Nayely made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Lander in the 86th minute of play. After 88 played minutes Atletico Tongante got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Hodei. Amador Lluciano was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Amador Lluciano kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Carlos Ibar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Rogelio Nayely tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Newells players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
