In the 22nd minute, one of Chachapoyas AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chachapoyas AFC. Epifanio Bernaldo's late challenge caught a Chachapoyas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Epifanio Bernaldo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th play minute Gogo Unax came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eugenio Dacio. 1-1. Chachapoyas AFC's Victorino Gasteiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Koldo in the 33rd minute of play. Eugenio Dacio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chachapoyas AFC had won after a very even match.
