Roberto Etxekopar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albino Mendez having to make a save. If Ramon Esdras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramon Esdras who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Albino Mendez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Albino Mendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Etxekopar in the 15th minute of play. Ramon Esdras in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Albino Mendez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. El Replico's Ramon Esdras got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Aristides Lertxun fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elena's protests and gave Aristides Lertxun a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, Elena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Lertxun to maneuver through the defense. If Ramon Esdras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Naike scored 1-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Takis Soukis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 42 minutes of play Elena's Aristides Lertxun was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ramon Esdras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Albino Mendez made a huge save. A collision led to Elena getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Eleuterio Enekoitz hit a great ball. The long shot by Eugenio Hernandez in the 48th minute really tested Albino Mendez's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ramon Esdras made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gabriel Nabar managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Replico's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Nabar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albino Mendez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramon Esdras in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albino Mendez saved Elena from getting behind. If Ismael Lesardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ramon Esdras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Albino Mendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, Elena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Naike to maneuver through the defense. When Ramon Esdras came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the El Replico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon Esdras couldn't finish the play. Celso Mateo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Takis Soukis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Elena's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Esdras came free, but Albino Mendez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albino Mendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicasio Salbatore in the 90th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ismael Lesardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Replico's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Lesardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albino Mendez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elena succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though El Replico had controlled the match.
