Cayetano Piarres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Kimetz in the 10th minute of the match. The La Faustina fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when La Faustina's Gerardo Kimetz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Teo Salvator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ironmass's zone, Gerardo Kimetz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Piarres came out of the goal and Gerardo Kimetz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Gerardo Kimetz put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cayetano Piarres. After some careless play in the Ironmass defense, Placido Crispo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Piarres. The Ironmass fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Piarres should have stopped the shot. Aureliano Telmo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Gerardo Kimetz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Faustina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Kimetz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Efrain Amaya's late challenge caught a La Faustina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. One of La Faustina:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ironmass:s goal. The goalkeeper, Angelo Selvi, was totally fooled by Ironmass's Ulises Jakes, who 35 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 40th minute, Bonifacio Lauaxeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Placido Crispo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Cayetano Piarres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Faustina.
