With a little luck, Empalme F.C's Hernan Kepa got control of the ball when Severiano Ricart tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Danel in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernan Kepa saved Empalme F.C from getting behind. The supporters of Empalme F.C booed when Lobos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Cordaryal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Agustin Ezkerra sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lobos AFC's Jesus Salbatore didn't even have to move. If Severiano Ricart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Empalme F.C's Hernan Kepa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Danel in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute Federico Ibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Salbatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match Agustin Ezkerra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jesus Salbatore skillfully saved the ball. In the 37th minute, Severiano Ricart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardo Danel was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Federico Ibar during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes Empalme F.C got a freekick which was hit by Federico Ibar. If Mariano Teofilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. When Mariano Teofilio came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Empalme F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Teofilio couldn't finish the play. When Empalme F.C's Godofredo Polentzi in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lobos AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lobos AFC's zone, Godofredo Polentzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesus Salbatore came out of the goal and Godofredo Polentzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Godofredo Polentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jesus Salbatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Teofilio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Jesus Salbatore made a huge save. Mariano Teofilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lobos AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
