Antonio Cucao made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Defensores de Belgrano's Emanuel Nataniel got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobias Gaitan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. riverjony's Ramiro Ugaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Nataniel in the 56th minute of play. Ramiro Ugaitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celestino Cefero went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Belgrano's Clemente Lonzo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. A collision led to riverjony getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Desiderio Etxatxu hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Raimundo Perrando left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Defensores de Belgrano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. If Raimundo Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind riverjony's goalkeeper Ramiro Ugaitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Raimundo Perrando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro Ugaitz. riverjony's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Perrando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Defensores de Belgrano walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
