Spectators: 6572 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gilberto Shepherd started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freddy Esdras in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domingo Furtado saved Guerrero from getting behind. Tortugas FC were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Guerrero's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Guillermo Matteo took the corner. Tortugas FC's Segundo Lucero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Nastasio in the 6th minute of play. Saul Feliu might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Segundo Lucero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saul Feliu ran back to his position shaking his head. When Nicolas Henry came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Tortugas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas Henry couldn't finish the play. In the 20th match minute, Tortugas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Esdras to maneuver through the defense. Segundo Lucero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Feliu in the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Guerrero booed when Tortugas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Esdras didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tortugas FC's zone, Gilberto Shepherd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Lucero came out of the goal and Gilberto Shepherd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilberto Shepherd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rd minute, Saul Feliu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guido Nastasio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Segundo Lucero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Segundo Lucero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Shepherd in the 38th minute of play. Segundo Lucero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aristides Milian made a kick off. A collision led to Tortugas FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Teodosio Menendo hit a great ball. Segundo Lucero made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Saul Feliu sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Saul Feliu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guerrero's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Feliu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Segundo Lucero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Saul Feliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Lucero having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Milian in the 75th minute of play forced Guerrero's goalkeeper Domingo Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Segundo Lucero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saul Feliu in the 78th minute. Segundo Lucero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Shepherd in the 79th minute of the match. Segundo Lucero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Shepherd in the 84th minute of play. Tortugas FC's Segundo Lucero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Tortugas FC from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tortugas FC's goalkeeper Segundo Lucero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Guerrero eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
