After 19 minutes of play, Calafate FC's Carmelo Munio made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Segundo Lucero was left in no man's land by his defense there! 26 minutes into the match, Calafate FC's goalkeeper Venancio Elazar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Henry. In the 26th match minute, Calafate FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Benino to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Tortugas FC's Prospero Weather got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Calafate FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Benino to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Calafate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Milian came free, but Venancio Elazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venancio Elazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tortugas FC. When Aristides Milian fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tortugas FC's protests and gave Aristides Milian a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tortugas FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Aristides Milian hit a great ball. After 62 played minutes Tortugas FC got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Milian. Carmelo Munio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Segundo Lucero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Higinio Lucian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calafate FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Higinio Lucian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Milian in the 83rd minute of play forced Calafate FC's goalkeeper Venancio Elazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Carmelo Munio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Lucero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Saul Rik fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tortugas FC's protests and gave Saul Rik a yellow card for diving instead. Carmelo Munio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Segundo Lucero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Calafate FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Calafate FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
