In the 7th minute, Adrian Santo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Gowlan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Franco came free, but Rigoberto Ritchie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Gowlan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero James to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Ubaldo Maidana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Ritchie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rigoberto Ritchie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Franco in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Ubaldo Maidana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pericote FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Maidana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 24 played minutes Gowlan FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Santo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Franco in the 25th minute of play forced Gowlan FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Ritchie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Isidoro Lander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Ubaldo Maidana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Ritchie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rigoberto Ritchie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Franco in the 35th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Franco got free with Zeledon Ranolfo in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Enrique Franco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enrique Franco in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zeledon Ranolfo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Gowlan FC's Enrique Franco got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gowlan FC's Aaron Abadia got a free kick in the 59th minute. Enrique Franco took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Ranolfo. Zeledon Ranolfo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 77th minute, Emilio Rito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raimundo Franco in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal.
