But to his dismay, Pedro Dei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ciriaco Rojelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Veronica having to interfere. Fabricio Oskitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Veronica having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Whitesnake F.C's zone, Lázaro Benino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modesto Veronica came out of the goal and Lázaro Benino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabricio Oskitz to make the kick off. Modesto Veronica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Fabricio Oskitz came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Guañacos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Oskitz couldn't finish the play. Guañacos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Mendez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 0-3 became the score in the 77th minute when Fabricio Oskitz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Aquilino Baudelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
