An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Godfredo Bernad got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alberto Clodio hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When Astor Furtado came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Atletico Rafaela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Furtado couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute Dionisio Baumar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Chus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astor Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Chus having to interfere. When Atletico Rafaela's Astor Furtado in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Atletico Rafaela getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Alberto Clodio hit a great ball. If Godfredo Bernad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godfredo Bernad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Americo Frederico having to interfere. Cipriano Chus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Regis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Ciro Regis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cipriano Chus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Astor Furtado was the one to do the kick off. Godfredo Bernad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Americo Frederico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 57 played minutes Casavindo got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Lizer. In the 58th minute, Freddy Mogel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dionisio Baumar might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cipriano Chus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dionisio Baumar ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Furtado in the 63rd minute of play forced Casavindo's goalkeeper Cipriano Chus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Rafaela's zone, Godfredo Bernad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Americo Frederico came out of the goal and Godfredo Bernad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Godfredo Mon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Americo Frederico was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Atletico Rafaela's Americo Frederico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Mon in the 78th minute of play. Godfredo Bernad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Americo Frederico having to make a save. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
