The SAN MARTIN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urbano Fernanco should have stopped the shot. After 15 played minutes ARSENAL D. T. got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Indartsu. The supporters of SAN MARTIN booed when ARSENAL D. T. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nunez Etor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Hanni having to interfere. With a little luck, ARSENAL D. T.'s Oscar Hanni got control of the ball when Cleto Miro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Evelio Rito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of SAN MARTIN:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ARSENAL D. T.:s goal. Urbano Fernanco went to the wrong direction when Placido Diegotxe was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Santiago Terciero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Fernanco having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Braulio Llorienzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Narciso Indartsu fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ARSENAL D. T.'s protests and gave Narciso Indartsu a yellow card for diving instead. Narciso Indartsu hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nunez Etor in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Hanni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oscar Hanni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Miro in the 71st minute of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Nunez Etor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAN MARTIN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nunez Etor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santiago Terciero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Urbano Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Terciero in the 82nd minute of the match. During the 83rd minute of the match Braulio Llorienzo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Braulio Llorienzo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 84 played minutes SAN MARTIN got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Llorienzo. Evelio Rito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Urbano Fernanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Terciero in the 95th minute of play forced SAN MARTIN's goalkeeper Urbano Fernanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ARSENAL D. T. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
