Delmiro Harri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Miro in the 21st minute of play forced Los Cardos FC's goalkeeper Delmiro Harri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermengildo Horado scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Urbano Fernanco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, SAN MARTIN's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Koldo came free, but Urbano Fernanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hermengildo Horado came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Los Cardos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermengildo Horado couldn't finish the play. Urbano Fernanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Horado, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Los Cardos FC's Feliciano Poncio in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SAN MARTIN's goalie prevented a goal. Los Cardos FC's Rolando Koldo got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hermengildo Horado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Los Cardos FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliciano Poncio to make the kick off. If Rolando Koldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 minutes of play, Los Cardos FC's Hermengildo Horado made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Urbano Fernanco was left in no man's land by his defense there! 59 minutes into the match, SAN MARTIN's goalkeeper Urbano Fernanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Horado. Hermengildo Horado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Fernanco having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Feliciano Poncio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Cardos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliciano Poncio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Urbano Fernanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Koldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Feliciano Poncio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Rolando Koldo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Urbano Fernanco. That made the score 0-4 in the 69 minute of play. Rolando Koldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolando Koldo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Urbano Fernanco came out and tried to block the shot, but Rolando Koldo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 78th minute. A collision led to SAN MARTIN getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Braulio Llorienzo hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the game, Braulio Llorienzo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAN MARTIN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Cardos FC the free kick. In the 87th minute, Braulio Llorienzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SAN MARTIN's Urbano Fernanco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save SAN MARTIN from getting a goal against them. Rolando Koldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Los Cardos FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
