The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Generoso Corderun went to the wrong direction when Julio Bertol was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 11 played minutes Arrecifes got a freekick which was hit by Christian Luzaide. Generoso Corderun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Rico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Arrecifes getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Christian Luzaide hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Ilixo in the 30th minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Generoso Corderun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesus Espiridion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, Lino Montay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Generoso Corderun. Arrecifes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lino Montay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 42nd minute, Fulgencio Rico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Generoso Corderun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reynaldo Gomez was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Rico in the 52nd minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Generoso Corderun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Generoso Corderun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Rico in the 56th minute of the match. Generoso Corderun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Rico, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. With a little luck, Arrecifes's Generoso Corderun got control of the ball when Domingo Ilixo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvano Bernad hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Arrecifes's Generoso Corderun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Arrecifes from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Generoso Corderun successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 91 minutes into the match, Severino Tavio notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Fc Viatri's Alfredo Froylan. Alfredo Froylan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Fc Viatri supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fc Viatri would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
