Nunez Koldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquin Jeraldo got free with Generoso Corderun in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Tatu Carreta booed when Arrecifes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Hitzeder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Tatu Carreta 's Eloy Buinton tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardo Manny made a kick off. Eduardo Manny took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Generoso Corderun. Generoso Corderun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Generoso Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Manny in the 66th minute of play. Generoso Corderun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Manny, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Generoso Corderun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Jeraldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Erruki took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Generoso Corderun. Generoso Corderun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Espiridion in the 80th minute of play forced Tatu Carreta 's goalkeeper Nunez Koldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesus Espiridion hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes Arrecifes's Christian Luzaide stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Nunez Koldo stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Tatu Carreta of the goal.
