After 2 minutes, Fernan Cloyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gasoducto and the Futbol Club Rio Cuarto players grew even worse after the yellow card. 10 minutes into the match, Futbol Club Rio Cuarto's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Joey came free, but Eulalio Inge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Futbol Club Rio Cuarto getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Cristian Mitxel hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the game, Gasoducto's Edelmiro Alvarez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eulalio Inge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 24th minute, Futbol Club Rio Cuarto's Matias Che dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Romeo Terciero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Che in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Herminio Silviano made a precise shot to the right of Romeo Terciero. Gasoducto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 40 minutes into the match, Gasoducto's Edelmiro Alvarez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eulalio Inge narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Matias Che came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Futbol Club Rio Cuarto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Che couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edelmiro Alvarez to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Gasoducto got a corner. Futbol Club Rio Cuarto's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gaudencio Gaueko ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edelmiro Alvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Inge having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Che in the 62nd minute of play forced Gasoducto's goalkeeper Romeo Terciero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Alvarez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eulalio Inge. Edelmiro Alvarez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Prudencio Joey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gasoducto's supporters rose to their feet, but Prudencio Joey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eulalio Inge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Gasoducto's zone, Matias Che stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Terciero came out of the goal and Matias Che tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Futbol Club Rio Cuarto's Eulalio Inge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Futbol Club Rio Cuarto from getting a goal against them. Carolo Odon's late challenge caught a Gasoducto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carolo Odon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Carolo Odon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eulalio Inge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Alvarez in the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd match minute, Gasoducto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Furman to maneuver through the defense. Futbol Club Rio Cuarto's Herminio Silviano got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Futbol Club Rio Cuarto booed when Gasoducto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Chico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prudencio Joey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eulalio Inge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Gasoducto's Prudencio Joey got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 96 minutes of play, Gasoducto's Edelmiro Alvarez made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eulalio Inge was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Gasoducto supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gasoducto would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
