When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edelmiro Alvarez made a kick off. No goal. In the 72nd minute Edelmiro Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Veremundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prudencio Joey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Veremundo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. When Enrique Hernando fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
