Efrain Berasko was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eduardo Leguizamón showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Artemio Telo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fermin Naelio. Chiefs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Artemio Telo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximiliano Flores during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of San Eduardo booed when Chiefs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Flores didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fermin Naelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Telo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Efrain Berasko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Pere, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute, Mariano Pere reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Efrain Berasko. The goal made the score 2-1. Rafael Sansone charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Sansone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Chiefs's Eduardo Leguizamón managed to work through San Eduardo's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Eduardo Leguizamón dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 40 played minutes San Eduardo got a freekick which was hit by Teo Maldonado. After having played for 46 minutes, Jacobo Frances managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chiefs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Frances was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Pere might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Efrain Berasko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Pere ran back to his position shaking his head.

After 55 minutes of play, Chiefs's Mariano Pere made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Efrain Berasko was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Mariano Pere managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chiefs's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Pere was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Efrain Berasko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, San Eduardo's Teo Maldonado got a free kick in the 63rd minute. If Mariano Pere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Chiefs's Eduardo Leguizamón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Efrain Berasko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Pere scored 4-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Efrain Berasko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Primitivo Lucado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fermin Naelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Nicolas Bieito fired a really elegant long shot, but Fermin Naelio threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Efrain Berasko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Leguizamón in the 88th minute of the match. Mariano Pere struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Efrain Berasko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chiefs. Chiefs's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
