Herminio Victoro might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Honorio Tallia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herminio Victoro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 7th minute, Herminio Victoro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Palermo F.C's Honorio Tallia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Palermo F.C from getting a goal against them. After 14 played minutes Palermo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Gelacio. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Severino Cefero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Cefero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prospero Mirande breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Los Cucarachos's Florentino Richie got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Santos Etxatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herminio Victoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Tallia having to interfere. Santos Etxatxu's late challenge caught a Palermo F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santos Etxatxu helped the player get up and apologised. 1-0 became the score in the 39th minute when Herminio Victoro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Palermo F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Herminio Victoro scored to the left of an out of position Honorio Tallia, making the score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Herminio Victoro made the kick off in the second half. In the 64th minute, Herminio Victoro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 65 played minutes Palermo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Gelacio. Honorio Tallia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Victoro in the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of Palermo F.C booed when Los Cucarachos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Hanot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honorio Tallia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Etxatxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 played minutes Palermo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Oidor. Palermo F.C's Honorio Tallia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Etxatxu in the 78th minute of play. Honorio Tallia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Etxatxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Palermo F.C's Isidoro Oro got a free kick in the 91st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Herminio Victoro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Cucarachos's supporters rose to their feet, but Herminio Victoro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honorio Tallia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Los Cucarachos were the better team. Los Cucarachos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
