Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Congreso's Horacio Jerrald started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Horacio Jerrald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo F.C's zone, Jeronimo Urtun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Tallia came out of the goal and Jeronimo Urtun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Congreso's Ubaldo Geofredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Congreso from getting a goal against them. In the 19th match minute, Palermo F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Bemabe to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Horacio Jerrald managed to get in a good position for a shot. Congreso's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Jerrald was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honorio Tallia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, Jeronimo Urtun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute, Gilberto Bemabe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Genaro Gaizkine charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Gaizkine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 29 minutes into the game, one of Congreso:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 31st minute, Palermo F.C got a penalty, and Braulio Gelacio placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Pascual Etor charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pascual Etor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th minute, one of Congreso:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Congreso. Romeo Donostia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ubaldo Geofredo came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Palermo F.C's Severino Cefero. But to his dismay, Severino Cefero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

After 53 minutes of play, Palermo F.C's Severino Cefero made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ubaldo Geofredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Horacio Jerrald struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Honorio Tallia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Congreso. Horacio Jerrald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Honorio Tallia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Palermo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Bemabe. Congreso's Horacio Jerrald got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gonzalo Bilintx's late challenge caught a Congreso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Bilintx helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Palermo F.C's Gonzalo Bilintx got a free kick in the 68th minute. Honorio Tallia was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Pascual Etor. Ubaldo Geofredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Cefero in the 75th minute of play. Palermo F.C's Honorio Tallia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Jerrald in the 77th minute of play. If Horacio Jerrald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 played minutes Palermo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Bemabe. Congreso's Ubaldo Geofredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Donostia in the 88th minute of play.
